About Surrey Kids Foundation
The Surrey Kids Foundation was established in 2023 with a mission to support and uplift youth within the community.
What started as a school supply drive for 100 children has grown into an ongoing effort to assist local schools and provide essential toiletries to families in need. These are the same basic necessities that once made a meaningful difference in my own family’s life, and they continue to matter just as much today. With the support of family and close friends, the foundation continues to expand its reach, always looking for new ways to serve and give back.
The Surrey Kids Foundation is committed to creating opportunities, supporting families, and empowering the next generation. Our goal is to grow beyond the village and extend our impact to more communities, while staying true to the values of kindness, generosity, and unity that inspired our journey.

A message from our founder:
"The Surrey Kids Foundation was created from a deep-rooted tradition of giving, shaped by family, culture, and community. Growing up, I was surrounded by relatives who believed in helping others without hesitation. My mother, after migrating to the United States from Trinidad, always made it a priority to support our family back home by sending essential everyday items like toothpaste, soap, and lotion. At the time, those items may have seemed small, but I now understand how much they meant in easing the financial burden for others. That same generosity was reflected throughout my family. My aunts welcomed anyone into their homes with a hot meal and open arms, and my uncles and cousins gave back by building community through steel band programs that provided young people with structure, discipline, and a sense of belonging."
